Our guidelines are designed to ensure that all promotional content on our platforms is relevant, transparent, and aligned with our values of integrity and community trust.

General Advertising Guidelines
Acceptable Advertising Content
- Relevance: All advertising must be relevant to our audience and aligned with the content of our platforms. We prioritize advertising that contributes positively to our readers’ experiences.
- Accuracy: Advertisements must not contain misleading, false, or deceptive content. Advertisers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all claims and offers made in their ads.
- Prohibited Content: We do not accept ads that promote hate speech, discrimination, illegal activities, violence, adult content, or anything deemed harmful or offensive. Advertisements for tobacco, firearms, illegal drugs, and other restricted products are also prohibited.
Types of Advertising Accepted
- Digital Display Ads: Banner ads, sidebars, and sponsored posts on our websites.
- Classified Listings: Advertisements for services, events, items for sale, and job vacancies that serve the local community.
- Sponsored Content: Advertorials and sponsored articles that provide value to our readers, clearly marked as sponsored to maintain transparency.
Sponsorship Guidelines
Event Sponsorship
- Community Events: We welcome sponsors for community events such as festivals, local charity initiatives, and public gatherings. Sponsored events must align with the community’s values and contribute positively to our readers.
- Sponsor Recognition: Sponsors will receive appropriate acknowledgment at events, including branding on promotional materials and recognition in related articles and announcements.
- Non-Interference: Sponsorship of events does not influence our editorial independence. Sponsors are not permitted to dictate content, speakers, or any editorial aspect of the event.
Sponsored Content
- Transparency: All sponsored content will be clearly labeled to distinguish it from independent editorial content. This includes articles, reviews, and mentions of a sponsor’s brand or product.
- Editorial Control: While sponsors may provide input, Novus Media retains full editorial control over how sponsored content is presented. We will not publish sponsored content that compromises our editorial standards.
Classified Listings and Job Postings
Classified Listings
- Permissible Listings: We accept classified ads for property sales, community events, items for sale, services, and other general listings that comply with our content guidelines.
- No Discriminatory Content: Classified listings must not contain discriminatory language or promote activities that contravene local or national laws.
- Authenticity: Advertisers must ensure that all listings are accurate and current. Listings found to be misleading or fraudulent may be removed without notice.
Job Postings
- Equal Opportunity: All job postings must adhere to equal opportunity standards, offering employment without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, or other personal attributes.
- Detailed Descriptions: Job postings must include clear details regarding job role, responsibilities, required qualifications, and the process for applying. Incomplete job postings may be rejected.
Content Review and Approval
- Review Process: All advertisements, sponsorships, and listings are subject to review by the Novus Media team to ensure compliance with these guidelines. We reserve the right to reject or request modifications to any advertisement that does not meet our standards.
- Timelines: Advertisers should allow 3-5 business days for review and approval. Time-sensitive ads should be submitted well in advance to meet publication deadlines.
Liability and Compliance
- Advertiser Responsibility: Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their content complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Novus Media is not liable for the accuracy or legality of advertiser content.
- Right to Remove: Novus Media reserves the right to remove any advertisement, listing, or sponsored content that violates these guidelines or is deemed inappropriate for our audience.
Transparency and Ethical Considerations
- Distinguishing Ads from Editorial Content: We are committed to transparency. All advertisements and sponsored content will be clearly marked to distinguish them from our editorial material.
- No Editorial Influence: Advertising and sponsorship relationships do not affect our editorial content. Our journalism remains independent, unbiased, and focused on providing value to our readers.
